“American Cool” – kudos on the exhibit.
It’s exciting when a concept comes to fruition.
A year ago I first met Kim Sajet, head of the National Portrait Gallery for The Smithsonian …
She came out from Washington, D.C. to meet people.
I took her to lunch at the most historic place I could think of: The Jonathan Club downtown.
We talked about her plans and she was just beginning to assemble “American Cool”.
Now it’s an exhibit. A book. And a feather in her cap.
I was thrilled when she sent me the book — with a note that says, “Happy 2014 – I hope you are well. I love your blog and wanted to follow up your enthusiastic post about “American Cool” with a catalogue for your library.”
