There are a few good guys in television.

COURTNEY CONTE is one of them.

When I asked him if he could see Jamie, who’s just gotten into the IA union for Art Direction — he set it up immediately.

She had a meeting yesterday with him and I wanted to thank him for treating her with such dignity.

He’s a very busy man…and not many folks would be so kind.

He’s also studied Egyptology and I knew Jamie would appreciate his educated aesthetic.

(He’s forever famous in my mind for writing on the thickest engraved stationery I’ve ever received, and he uses a pen & buck slips

to track his ‘to do’ lists for all the myriad shows he oversees.  I love that.)

(An aside:  I told Jamie she should write Courtney but staple together three pieces of paper as a joke.

I thought it would be an hilarious circle-back  to HIS fine cream-colored  engraved stock of so log ago, but I don’t think

Jamie took me seriously.  Ir would be a great payoff to a story i’ve told  for 30+ years about Courtney’s refined manners …
