Blown away…

Today I got an email from Susan, a journalist and Academy Award-winning filmmaker —  someone I admire greatly.

I had written her a personal note on my holiday card to her…  and she clearly appreciated it.

She wrote:

My dear Erica,

I was so blown away by your holiday message that i don’t know if I’ll ever recover.

I’ve decided to keep it near so that when I feel frustrated, depressed or unloved, I have your words as the ideal tonic to uplift my spirits.

Thank you so much for your overwhelming compliments.  As my grandmother used to say, “Flatter me, I can stand a lot.”
