Bob Sirna, speed racer…and motivator.

Our former President of the Gull Wing Club, Bob Sirna is the “Energizer Bunny”. He races his car on the Salt Flats. He organizes trips for 27 folks to tour Sicily… without cars. He motivates, runs circles around us, and we suspect he’s the reason why we agreed to organize the 5-day Gull Wing Mercedes convention last October for 250 fellow car club members… & their million-dollar “babies”. After we recovered, I let him know how much we appreciate his support.

You and Vin are the best. It is great that you both enjoy these wonderful cars the 300 SL’s from the 50’s. Yes I have been called the Energizer Bunny but never the MOTIVATOR. 🙂 Well I did do everything I could to convince you and Vin that running a Gull Wing Annual Convention would be fun. We never did figure out how we ended up “volunteering” for the gig. We had probably had too many Gin & Tonics, but whatever inspired us to raise our hands when they asked, “Who wants to run the next convention?” we’re glad we did. It took us a month to recover, but you were right — we have many satisfying memories. But don’t get any ideas — even if you get us thoroughly bombed, we’re NOT going to do it again!
