Brilliant.

I admit it.  I had a tangle of unsightly electrical cords, extension cords, and typewriter cables under my desk.

I was used to it.  Barely even thought about it as I scrambled under the tall table, trying to plug in my phone.

We don’t see a mess after a while, I’ve realized.

When Gregory came over, though, he saw it immediately.

He’s a decorator, but he’s also my friend since 7th grade.

I liked it when I came home to find his note…. and a white electrical cord,  tied as neatly as a cowboy would

bind his beloved lasso.
