Cafe Mozza and a typewriter bag.

Kate Spade bag.We had lunch this afternoon at Cafe Mozza, a popular pizza/burratta restaurant by chef Nancy Silverton.

To keep with the “Nancy” theme, we met two junior high school friends — Nancy Jamison Paul and Gregory McAllester.  Nancy’s son Alec is a talented young filmmaker who’s got a few irons in the fire, and we’ve all been watching his career trajectory soar.

We traded stories of Palo Alto and news of our parents, jobs, relationships.

After we exited and I was waiting for my car, I spied a woman scurry inside — holding a red purse with a typewriter keyboard on the side.

I entreated Vin, “Hurry — you’re a better photographer than I, go get a picture of her purse for my blog!  Did you see that keyboard?”

He demurred, not quite ready to become a stalker on my behalf.

Instead, I came home and did a search for “typewriter keyboard purse”… and here it is.  Kate Spade.  Don’t know the price.  But it’s pretty darn cute.  But the afternoon with friends?  Well, that was … priceless.
