Champagne with class.
Champagne appointed by H.M. Queen Elizabeth II — a beautiful gold-engraved bottle sent to us by Brent Mulgrew, who worked with us for ten years on keeping our rugs & furniture clean.
Brent said we were his first official customer. I remember when he came in the door for the estimate, clipboard in hand. Of course I knew immediately he’d do a thorough job… and I was right.
We’ve had a great relationship since then. When Brent came over to say ‘goodbye’ and that he was moving on — he told me as he’d grown up he’d had the opportunity to learn a lot about Champagne.
“I chose a 2004 because that’s the year I first began with you,” he explained. “It’s also a really good Champagne.”
The meaning is just as important to me as the taste… but I have to admit, I AM looking forward to cracking it open.
Customer service and trust: Brent Mulgrew knows how to cultivate both. I told him that his new company is very wise to choose him. And I would say that even WITHOUT the Bollinger’s.

Erica—
I’ve read your blog post and your typed letter and as usual I was very humbled you’d think to elaborate so eloquently about the gift.
I really appreciated our long time professional—and hopefully friendly, personal—relationship. It means a lot to me that someone stuck with me for so long and still appreciates and notices the genuine care and consideration I attempt to give to my customers.
And in that vain, I wanted to follow up with you regarding your home on La Peer. Is there a mold issue I need to examine? I just want to make sure you’re taken care of in any way I can be of service.
Thanks so much Erica and we’ll continue to chat for years to come J
Sincerely,
Brent Mulgrew
And I had a friend over last night — Sid Birenbaum — who imports & sells fine wine. He looked through our ‘cellar’ and spotted your bottle right away. “Now THAT’S a good bottle,” he exclaimed. He saw your card attached and I told him the story — and he loved both your taste and your class.
