Chefs a La Carte…party planners extraordinaire.

Marguerite plans the parties, Carin is the chef, Stevan is the lead waiter, and

Sandy is our bartender. Sometimes we have Piper as a waitress, depending

on her schedule.  It’s the “A team”, and when they’re in charge, I can

relax.  A ritual I’ve started is — I write everyone a personal note and enclose

the green in the same envelope.  Stevan says it’s his favorite part of the night.

Piper told me she keeps my notes on her desk at work and they make her

smile on bad days.  While they’re in the kitchen closing down after all the

partiers have left, I’m in my “Thank You” room, pounding out notes — which

is still way easier than if I’d had to cook & clean.  It builds good will and

I can say it better in a note than I can communicate at the end of the night.
