A fancy dinner…by a “Top Chef”.

Chef Raphael Lunetta of JiRaffe Restaurant gives back… after he volunteered a dinner for eight, prepared at one’s home, my husband bid on it.  It’s a way to donate to in this case, autism, at an event called “Denim & Diamonds”.  It took several months to secure a date, and we opted to invite people from Vin’s company.  The menu ranged from venison appetizers to oyster shooters to black cod to Maine Lobster Bolognese and Angus Filet of Beef with Point Reyes blue cheese, Swiss chard, pancetta, red flame grapes …. each course accompanied by its own flight of wine.  He and his best friend, Chef Josiah Citrin (of Melisse Restaurant in Santa Monica) shared the honors.  We all clapped at the conclusion, and after the chefs left, we sat around the long dining table to recount each course, remembering each delectable bite.
