The final visit.

Sometimes we have an instinct that we have to get to see someone before it’s too late.  Lesley knew she had to fly cross country this summer, and she took valuable vacation days to get to see her boyfriend’s elderly and ailing father.  It was good she did.  Her friend died this week, and while she is grieving, she also can take comfort in knowing that she got on a plane and did something proactive — followed her instincts — and gave her friend a wonderful. loving week in what would be their last time together.
