Fur boots.

I have a friend in Dallas who’s got a wild sense of humor — and isn’t afraid to wear whatever captures her eye.

These FENDI boots – in an advertisement in Vogue Magazine — reminded me of a pair of red fur shoes she got from Fendi a few years ago when she was visiting Los Angeles.
We spent a lovely Yom Kippur together that same Fall, and as it comes around around — and I saw this ad — I hastened to send her an ‘I’m thinking of you’ note.  It’s also on the stationery she gave me — “Hello, Darling”, which is what she always calls me…

Sometimes when there’s not much time for a phone call catch-up, a clipping with a little note serves just as well to let the person know, “I’m thinking of you, darling”.
