A lovely note back from our carpet advisor…

Erica—

I’m literally tearing up as I type. I was just mentioning to some staffers here (he mentions where he’s now working) that I had my last consultation with—and I can say this now since I won’t have other (he mentions name of former company) clients—my first and favorite (name of company deleted) client for the last time.

It was an excellent bow atop a decade of working at (name of company) and reading your letter and your e-mail made me swell with pride that a naïve but enthusiastic youth was able to mature—at least in corporate terms—right before your eyes.

You were always so kind to me, appreciated my efforts, noticed the work I did and how difficult it was to adjust to a completely new city and business environment, and I can’t thank you enough for your praise.

To think that someone as accomplished as yourself took the time to engage me during my consultations (many clients of your stature refer me to assistants or aides) and always had a smile even if we had made a mistake, well Erica, just know I will always hold you and Vin in the highest esteem.

So en fin, thank you for everything Erica. You’ve been such a pleasure to work with over the years and I hope we stay in touch for the next ten as well. Take care and all my best to you and your family.
