“MATHILDA” is a strange. colorful, oddball story about to officially debut at Center Theatre Group’s Ahmanson.

Charity Wu, the lovely CTG Development person, shared a glass of Pinot with us as Donna Guillaume and I ate dinner before

the show.  She was meeting two other ladies, she said, and half-way through our drink, the ladies were escorted to

the seat right next to Donna and me.  It turns out we are neighbors — who knew?  Charity did, I suspect  — it was a

lovely surprise, and I thanked her today for setting it up.
