Mother’s Day surprise.

Justin Goldstein. age 7, made me chocolate chip cookies for Mother’s Day.

I try to get ahead of the holidays.  I stock up on cards before they come, but this month I fell woefully behind.

So when I walked into my office and found that Dina, our housekeeper, had beaten me to it — with a beautiful card and

flowers — I immediately wrote her a note & posted it in today’s mail.

It won’t arrive until Monday, the day AFTER — but I wanted her to know I appreciated her kind gesture.

Moms have to look out for each other.  If we don’t, who will?
