Olivia de Havilland and me.

My wedding planner Jennifer Hronek said, “You and Paul Dreher MUST meet!”  He’s run over a thousand weddings at the Beverly Hilton, to say nothing of major entertainment events in the main Ballroom… and he teaches Etiquette as well.

We had a delightful lunch today, and afterwards, I got taken to his office, where Paul showed me his boxes of “Thank you” notes he’s received over the 35+ years he’s worked there… i

His favorite is typed, on blue stationery from Paris — from the beautiful movie star Olivia de Havilland, thanking him for sharing tea poolside with her, at her request.  That one, I suggested, should be framed.  He smiled and put it back in his top drawer, where it’s close to his heart…
