This is the letter I got online today … and what prompted me to write Katie Stern,

the Curator at an art gallery, a note expressing my regret.

Dearest Friends and Collectors

After a beautiful run of 3 1/2 years at Bergamot Station, we will be closing

the Frostig Collection gallery on the 28th of this month.

It has been wonderful to get to meet so many of you and to share the beautiful artwork that our very generous artists have contributed to raise money for a very special social skills program at the renowned Frostig Center.

The program will continue and we will find new ways to show and share the collection. We welcome all suggestions and can be reached by email or phone.  The collection has many available artworks on hand or to be ordered,

so please don’t forget us!

Our online presence remains the same at www.thefrostigcollection.org

And you know what they say…when one door closes

another one opens……

So until our next chapter, I bid you adieu

Kate Stern

Curator/ The Frostig Collection

The Frostig Collection will now reside at:

The Frostig Center

971 N. Altadena Dr

Pasadena , CA 91107

Our phone and email remain the same:

Art from The Frostig Collection Frostig_3458TY to Katie SternKatie Stern, whom I met when I was married to Josh, is a curator for The Frostig Collection at Bergamot Station.

The art was donated by local artists;  funding went to a non-profit.  It was win-win.

She announced today the place is shuttering its doors after almost 4 years.

Katie had given Jamie a job at the gallery a few years ago…  Jamie would gallery-sit and answer questions.  I’m not sure how much art she actually sold, but it was a great opportunity to see the sales side.

I told Jamie she should write Katie a TY note, but in the meantime — I decided I wanted to thank her myself.
