Puzzle-ing it out.

Here’s  a close-up shot of the puzzle Cate F., my 7-year-old pen-pal, sent me from New York.  It took me THREE days to figure it out.  The pink shiny background is the square TARGET platter I rested it on as I tried to assemble it.

It arrived as a tiny box.  I was so enthralled when I shook the container — and out flew a disembodied puzzle!  After I cleaned up all the pieces — I immediately called Cate’s Daddy and asked David, “Where did you get this?”  I ordered myself a few “Bits & Pieces” puzzles and have them in abeyance for special occasions, although I did send one to my sister Annie — but sent her a “cheat sheet” of how it should go to save her the struggle.

Unfortunately, my “Puzzle Thank You” didn’t turn out nearly as nicely as Cate’s.

To keep my delight alive — I framed the puzzle TY in a lucite box, where it’s now on display in my office.
