PEOPLE magazine picked “HYPERBOLE AND A HALF” by Allie Brosh in its Books section this week (12/16/13).

I went to Allie’s website and looked at several of her posts.  Rebecca Donohue (at FishBowl Worldwide Media),

who has started up many successful blogs herself and knows how to get to that vaunted #1-most-read-spot …

suggested at lunch the other day that I start following various bloggers so I can know the marketplace.

Allie Brosh uses her art & language to capture her feelings — and as it turns out, to fight depression.

It made me think that my writing, too, is a way of staying in touch with my inner world, while at the same time, reaching out.
