A red carpet Halloween.
At the last minute on Friday afternoon — hours after most people had carefully chosen their costumes for that
Halloween day, I took advantage of the fact that I work in Chinatown.
I decided to get into the spirit a little, and cruised through a sea of polyester, flammable-looking clothes
in search of something with a theme. The only thing that fit was a black & yellow long top for me,
with yellow pants to match. I found Vin a jacket, size XL, which was a twin color-wise, and
came home to steam wrinkles out of my finds.
By the time we got to Denise and Terry’s home, we got to have our picture taken against a green screen.
The photographer had several special backgrounds, and I chose “the red carpet”. It was a fun ending and reminded me
why people enjoy dressing up and pretending to be someone — or something — they’re not.
And isn’t that what makes the world go ’round?
