Shoes.

Alison is a Rhode Island School of Design graduate, a sculpture major who went into shoe design. (She and my daughter Jamie were roommates).

I send Alison pictures of fascinating shoes to inspire her… although she really doesn’t need it now that she’s working on 5th Avenue in New York for a major designer.

She also loves skulls, and at Halloween, I found some cool “Skull” stationery I sent her.  (From DL& Company, plucked from an interior decorating store in Providence near where Jamie & Alison used to live when they went to school there.)

She added her own “Thank you” drawing to the front, and included three sketches of what she’s doing these days.  I was thrilled, and plan to hang onto these for when she strikes it big, which I know she will.
