January
Studded tweezers, a “Celebration” bar, and jewelry.
Linda S. is my long-time writing coach. She’s also a beautiful person inside and out. Everything she touches grows more alluring, from her garden to her students’ work. She could do her own “Linda’s Favorite Things” show, a la Oprah. This year’s surprises included a set of rhinestone-studded tweezers, clippers and nail file … a mysterious “Celebration” candy bar with a blue & white striped candle attached … and a bracelet that looks like it’s made of wire but turns out to be soft as a baby’s behind. (As mothers of artists, we support artistic efforts.) In the end, all the gifts are reflections and refractions of who Linda is… and that’s beautiful.

Thank you for your thank you, dear Erica! You knew how to find the perfect words to make me feel acknowledged and appreciated. I feel seen, heard and loved and I am so very grateful. I’m also awed by your extraordinary talent. Do you know how wonderful you make us feel? I hope so.
With all my love, Linda
