The REAL “Dr. Phil”.

There’s “Dr. Phil”, the television host — and then there’s the REAL “DR. PHIL” — my father’s long-time best friend, Dr. Phil Siegelman.  Phil is one of the few people I know who eschews the joys of a computer and remains steadfast in his appreciation of the typewriter.

I found a few typewriter cards and sent them up to him.

Now, as he admits, they may be too precious to use.

I’ll rectify that by sending him more.

Because, you see, if you haven’t figured it out already — I’m a typewriter enabler.

I’m also going to tell him that my friend Louise Marler is doing “Type-In’s” down here, and I’ve done one already.  He should do it.  He’d have a blast.  It’s time he entered the “TYPO-SPHERE”.

There’s a whole other world of typists out there…. he needn’t feel alone.
