An “A-date” at the Doheny Mansion.
Our friends Eric and Nancy could be cultural ambassadors, they are so dialed in
to what’s going on in Los Angeles’ cultural scene. When they invite us anywhere,
from dim sum downtown or to a concert, we clear our calendars. Here we sat
at the Doheny Mansion inches away from a quivering violin, felt the pulse of the musicians’ circle, and
watched them create magic. It’s challenging to find words to translate what
a feeling is, but I try … I want my host and hostess to know how much the
evening they included us in touched our souls.

I am afraid you have grossly overestimated ourcultural knowledge! We try to keep up, but compared with our friends who are truly knowledgeable about music, theatre, dance and the visual arts, we’re mere pikers! On the other hand, this was a very special night and we are so glad to have shared it with you, and to have introduced the Da Camera Society to you.
