Thank you to a doctor who cares.
It’s hard to make sense of a hospital. Doctors come and go. Nurses whip in and out. And getting someone to LISTEN, really LISTEN to a patient’s story is a challenge. When my father had to have emergency surgery — I was scared. I didn’t know his doctors. Nobody on his “team” was part of the hospital.
He got lucky when he went to the Acute Rehab side, though — Dr. Bunin came along. I was so grateful, I wrote him a letter to let him know.
I have an ulterior motive, too. I hope he’ll be able to work with my father as an out-patient. Maybe this letter will make an impact.
