Thanking those who speak out…

As the daughter of a Holocaust survivor, I wonder how villagers who lived near the concentration camps

could pretend they knew nothing as the trains full of prisoners emptied out and later, ashes darkened the sky.

As a result, I can’t sit idly by if I see injustice.  I’m always relieved when someone else has the courage to speak out,

and where possible, I make an effort to applaud them.  It’s not easy to be a lone voice for truth and I’m

grateful for people who speak out to right the wrong.
