The Getty & RISD’s best.

There were about 40 of us on a balmy Saturday evening. We saw the crates where the bronzes had come in.  We saw Elie’s office, where he designed the exhibit.  And we finished up with an ‘insider’s tour’ of “POWER AND PATHOS”. moderated by the man who’d helped get it established.

I hastened to write him a note today while the tour was fresh in my mind.  I was lucky enough to find an article about the exhibit in the paper, so I enclosed a clipping from the New York Times, expounding the show’s virtues. He may want to send it back to his folks in New Jersey, you never know.

It’s a remarkable show.  I liked it so much in fact that I’m going to take another RISD alum, Jamie’s roommate Alison, back on Friday.
