The new interim President of Rhode Island School of Design was coming to town, and we wanted to have a ‘welcome party’.

We needed a location for easy travel that was traffic-friendly.

A place with good food we wouldn’t have to worry about.

Easy listening acoustics, a requirement.

So President Rosanne Somerson would feel comfortable to tell her story.

When we decided to have the party at Vincenti on San Vicente Boulevard, everything fell into place.  Afterwards, I wrote the owner Maureen a note of gratitude that it went so well.

The next time we want to do an event there, I’m hoping she’ll remember I took the time to thank her… because she’s a gem in the world of restaurant owners.
