Two losses before the holidays.

Clay is a Christmas decorator, so when he suffered two losses — his father and his brother-in-law within a few weeks — it struck me that there could not be a more difficult time for him to grieve.

He is putting up Christmas and holiday decorations while his heart is breaking.

I wanted to acknowledge his pain, and send him a reminder that he doesn’t have to do it perfectly.
