Unusual gifter.

Some people can find identify a need and fill it.  Sometimes it’s a gift I don’t even know I needed.  Vivian C. is one of those rare “gifters”.

Last year she gave me a jaunty red plastic fork-like implement (see below) — the “Devil Oven Rack Pull”.   I love it — I’d admired one she has, made of wood, on the side of her oven.  It pulls the shelf closer and I have successfully avoided at least three or four burns since I got it.

Now she’s turned us onto another handy-dandy item:  the onion pod.  Vivian knows how to tie together the utterly practical with a happy faced “pull” or a pragmatic smell-resistant “pod”.   I wish I could go shopping with her as she cruises the aisles, looking for just the right thing to emerge.  It’s a talent for sure and one I’m grateful to be the recipient of…
