Out of body experience.

The new Parents’ Council Chair was at the RISD Send-Off party for new students & their parents last night.

I stood and watched her, transfixed, as I realized I had started these ‘send-off parties’ in Los Angeles — and now they had taken on a powerful life of their own.

I thought, “This must be what it’s like to die and hover over the funeral!” — but it made me happy to see everyone so connected, and I was proud that I

had a small hand in getting it started.
