“Buyer & Cellar” — two thumbs up.

I wasn’t quite sure what “BUYER & CELLAR” was about.  It’s a play that’s at The Mark Taper right now, put on by Center Theatre Group, and I’d read great reviews about the crisp writing and how the show would probably translate well to Los Angeles.

What I didn’t know was that it would be the star MICHAEL URIE’s actual birthday (I heard that on “The Broadway Channel” as I drove home from a meeting, and I didn’t know Michael Urie would dominate the stage for an hour & forty minutes as five different characters — including BARBRA STREISAND.

I’m going to write him a “Thank You” note when I can put my thoughts together.  In the meantime, I’m thinking about what would be nice to hear, if I were Michael… and I know one thing:  my first sentence will begin, “It was your birthday, but you gave US the gift.”

What a great post! So glad that you and Vin and Gloria & Gloria loved the show as much as I did. Also, our Press department picked up the blog post and have been circulating it around CTG J

Thanks for the shout out for Buyer & Cellar!
