Emergency surgery – at the manicure salon.

I was so busy yesterday that when I finally got to the nail salon — I realized for the first time I had a huge splinter on my left thumb.  Since I’m not a woodworker and the only wood-based product I work with is paper — I’m not sure where the splinter originated, but it was deep.

To her credit, Chau took charge.  She got her best tweezers, focused on my injury, and after a few pokes and prods, got it out in one fell swoop.

We all cheered.

I wanted to thank her again today because I’m grateful she saved me.
