Frame-worthy.

When the Rhode Island School of Design folks came out — the Museum’s Board of Governors — we were thrilled to entertain Stephen and Ewa Metcalf the Saturday afternoon before they left town.  Vin and I took them to lunch at Musso and Frank Grill, where we tried the Celery with Blue Cheese and Calves’ Liver (for the guys) and Flannel Cakes (for the table).

We visited Vin’s Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame…

then traipsed over to Emerson College/Los Angeles to see the Thomas Mayne-designed building, and Stephen was impressed with the high-tech, LEED-certified aspects of its design.  

When we received a beautiful frame from the Metcalfs, it was really a surprise — because in our minds, having them as our guests was gift enough
