My friendly penpal.

It had been a while since I last heard from Cate Ferrall.

She’s a busy 2nd grader, and I didn’t want to interfere with her homework.

But I was thinking of her even so, and vowed that when school ended and summer began, I’d write her a quick note to say “hi”.

She beat me to it — and included a very pretty pin of a horseman, which she may have made.  I’m happy we’re back in touch.
