“Hail Caesar”.

Vivian and I went to the movies on Saturday.  We hadn’t seen each other in months, and we’d originally planned to find a documentary about Tiffany’s jewelry boutique — but between the time I’d spotted the review and the time we’d made a plan to get together, the movie went away.  Since it was after the Oscars, and we’d both seen almost everything, we settled on “HAIL CAESAR”.  It wasn’t terrible, and I knew one actor in it — Peter Jason, who played the Director… and afterwards we diverted ourselves with a quick trip through Nordstrom and a spin through Forever 21.  Vivian gave me some terrific stationery — multi-colored flat sheets that she knows I like, since they go into the typewriter easily — and I used one tonight to thank her.
