Letters to remember.

image1To Aunt Danielle

Daniele had a card-making party this weekend, and Laura and I went out to play.

When we got to the mid-century Modern house, we were both excited — it was the exact color Laura’s been searching for, and we’d just been talking about the kinds of houses we grew up in — and how mine was mid-Century Modern.

On the long tables, Daniele had cards/paper/pens/glue sticks/stickers … and after we slurped up her fantastic raita and Indian food (all homemade!)

we settled down to er, work.

I found this card amongst the stack from a niece of Daniele’s… written after a Thanksgiving past.

“THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR HOSTING THANKS

GIVING”.

I loved how she ran out of room on one line and had to break up the word — after “Thanks”.

I was so enamored  I asked Daniele if I could borrow it to post it on my blog.

I love the three happy faces and that there’s no name, but we’re supposed to know.

Now that I’ve shared it, I’m going to send it back to the hostess with the mostest.
