Post Office announces higher rates — on 1/26/14

My friend Darlene B. just sent me this announcement from the US Post Office.  Rates go up on January 26th.  Three cents more per stamp.  49 cents.

I had heard rumor of it but hoped it wasn’t true.  So much for denial.  What do they say?  “Denial is a river in Egypt”.

So — buy your “FOREVER” stamps now… and don’t let the slight up-charge bother you.  It’s still a bargain — and we want to save the Post Office.
