“Rockford Files” producer misses James Garner.

There are a few quality people in life.

Charles Johnson, a television producer who’s got major credits, is one of those people.

So is James Garner, I’m told.  When the actor recently passed away, I wrote Charles a condolence card, telling him how sad I was that he had lost his dear friend.

Today I got a note back from Charles… thanking me for reaching out and telling me how much ‘we all admired (James) for his incredible integrity, forthright honesty and innate humanity that made him special.’.

It takes one to know one, Charles.
