“See you soon, dear.”

A few weeks ago, I wrote RuthAnn — whom I’ve only met once — an apology.

I wouldn’t be able to make it to the wedding  for her daughter Teylor.

I wanted to let her know… and advise her that the good news is, I’ll be able to attend the bridal shower…

so I can be there to celebrate at least part of the good festivities.

RuthAnn must have appreciated my explanation, because in today’s mail, she wrote back.

Now when we see each other, we’ll have a warmer hug than if I hadn’t taken time to let her

know a little backstory on why I can’t attend all the activities…and since her daughter is

marrying Vin’s cousin Matt, we’re already starting with a nice family rapport.
