A surprise gift that’s always welcome.

Jackie and I met when her son Alex and my daughter Jamie were at Rhode Island School of Design.

She and I were both members of the Parents’ Council, and we liked each other so much we traveled to England together.

Or more accurately, I met her there — she was looking after her Dad.

We don’t get to see each other regularly now, but we still try to connect… and her unexpected surprise of typewriter stationery touched my heart.
