A tale of two cities.

It it truly a “tale of two cities”, as the library card says.

On the night of Matt and Teylor’s wedding in North Carolina, I will be in Michigan, being honored at a leadership conference.

When Matt + Teylor’s invitation came, it took me a minute to think, “Wait, isn’t there something then?”

I didn’t want to just write “sadly decline” on the RSVP.  I told the brief story instead, and hope they understand that even

though I’m not able to attend, I’ll still be thinking of them.

(I try to write “thanks but can’t attend) whenever possible.  I want my host & hostess to know that even though I

can’t make it, I hope to be invited the next time).
