An apology for not getting to meet a teacher…

We’ve  been supporters and fans of “Teach for America” — a way young college

graduates work in the school system, generally in underserved neighborhoods,

and see what they can do to make the education system better.  We got involved

in Los Angeles by supporting our first 7th grade math teacher then tried to

do the same in Rhode Island.  Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to get to the

classroom to meet Allison the teacher yet.  I wanted to let her know that despite

my inability to meet her in person, she is in my thoughts.
