Unexpected greeting.

Valerie is a wonderful, knowledgeable, fashionable saleslady at Neiman Marcus.  She knows her David Yurman better than anyone.

When she sent me a birthday card, I was properly surprised at her kindness.  As I began to put my stack of cards away tonight, it suddenly occurred to me that she’d gone to a lot of trouble to send it — and the least I could do was jot her a “TY” in return.
