Vin’s Donut surprise.

For Vin’s 70th birthday yesterday, I wanted to surprise him.

He loves doughnuts — or is it “donuts”? — and I arranged to have Kim Spurkel from Dazzzling Donuts come to Vin’s office … where she set up a mini-factory, and made 1,000 donuts in an hour.

Her husband Alex came out with his “UltraBooth”,  a photo booth with props — so Vin’s staff could take “selfies” the old-fashioned way.

Michael Pellegrini from Vin’s office, who oversees the graphics for “America’s Funniest Videos”, took time out of his schedule to create a “Happy Birthday Vin” design at the bottom of the 3-picture strip.

I also had Vin’s favorite donut store — “DH DOUGHNUTS” bring two cakes… made of cinnamon crumb doughnuts, drizzled with frosting and lit with candles.

It was a carbo frenzy.

Everyone loved the party… and I wanted to thank the Spurkels for their wonderful contribution to a fantastic surprise.
